Fothergilla major (Höyhenpensas)

A decidual shrub from North America. When I saw for first time a blooming Fothergilla with its unusual flowers I had to buy it and try it. Some bushes of southern origin die guaranteed the first winter, some others from the northernmost range off their natural origin can survive even in northern Finland.
